LUMI Data Hub is a platform for collecting and organizing signals of change — interesting trends, articles, research, and developments that could shape the future. Your team uses it to build a shared library of insights over time.

A signal of change is something you've spotted in the world that could be relevant to your project. It includes a title, the source URL or Location, a description, and categorizations like STIRDEEPER tags and impact timelines.

Go to the login page and enter your username and password. If you don't have an account, click "Register here" and use the signup code provided by your project administrator.

Contact your team lead — they can reset your password for you. You'll log in with the temporary password they give you, then choose your own new password.

There are two ways:

• From the main app: Click the "+ Add New Signal of Change" button at the top of the signals of change list.
• From the dedicated form: Click "+ Add Signal of Change" in the sidebar to open the standalone submission form.

It depends on how you're adding the signal of change.

In the app, the required fields are:

• URL or Location: the web link or source (this is the first field)
• Title: a short, descriptive name
• What this means for climate education: the implications of the signal
• UNICEF domain: the climate-education domain it relates to

Everything else is optional: the Description, STIRDEEPER categories, impact timeline, region, and image.

By WhatsApp, you only need to send the URL or Location and a note on what it means for climate education.

STIRDEEPER is a framework for categorizing signals of change across 10 dimensions:

• Society
• Technology
• Industry
• Resources
• Demographics
• Environmental
• Economic
• Political
• Energy
• Religion

You can select multiple categories that apply to your signal of change.

• Months — Short-term: Changes happening now or in the near future
• Years — Medium-term: Emerging trends that are gaining momentum
• Decades — Long-term: Weak signals and far-future possibilities

Domains are project-specific categories. For example, the Climate Education project has domains like "Climate realities, risk & resilience" and "Technology, AI & information." These help organize signals of change within the project's specific focus areas. Domains are only shown for projects that use them.

Yes! You can upload an image (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, or SVG, up to 5MB) when creating a signal of change. If you don't attach one, the system will try to grab an image from the URL or Location you provided.

Use the search bar at the top of the signals of change list to search by keyword. You can also click "Filter STIRDEEPER Tags" to narrow results by category.

Yes! Use the Table and Cards toggle buttons to switch between a compact table view and a visual card/gallery view.

Click the "Edit" button on any signal of change card or table row. This opens a modal where you can update all fields. Click "Save Changes" when you're done.

The Signals Dashboard gives you a visual overview of your project's signals of change, including:

• Total signals of change and recent activity (last 7 days)
• STIRDEEPER breakdown — a bar chart showing which categories have the most signals of change
• Impact timeline distribution — a pie chart showing the split across Months, Years, and Decades
• SDG distribution — a donut chart showing signals of change tagged with UN Sustainable Development Goals

Users can:

• View and search signals of change
• Add new signals of change
• Edit existing signals of change

Project Admins can do everything users can, plus:

• Delete signals of change
• Access the admin dashboard
• Manage signup codes
• Export signals of change to Miro boards

Yes! You can add signals of change through WhatsApp in addition to the web form, which is handy for capturing something on the go. Send it to +1 844.364.2431. All you need is the URL or Location and a short note on what it means for climate education. Contact your project administrator for details on how to connect.
